We love the return of the ’90s as much as the next person, and while it may finally be starting to fade back into the past, a staple of the decade is hotter than ever: CORDUROY. How to wear corduroy? The answer is simple: whichever way you want. Whether it be pants, a jacket, or our favorite—overalls—; the fabulous texture of corduroy is made to be mixed and matched to your heart's desire. Below, we've styled nine looks on our own models featuring a wide selection of corduroy clothing. Find your own here.
The Casual Pencil Skirt
Modernize a corduroy pencil skirt by throwing oversized pieces on top. Playing with proportions is always a great way to bring interest and dimension to an outfit, and here we’ve layered a Nike ’90s jacket over a vintage tee, letting both hang over the waistline of the skirt to provide a 100% cool-girl silhouette.
Corduroy X '80s Sweaters
A heavy jacket gets a twist when made of corduroy, and one featuring a sherpa collar is especially on-trend. To double-up on the warmth and play with textures, layering a corduroy jacket over the fun print of an ’80s sweater provides tons of visual interest. Find similar versions of this vintage jacket here, here, and here in our vintage winter coat category.
Corduroy Harrington w/ a Tee
A lighter coat such as a vintage Harrington jacket is a great way to add subtle corduroy texture to a look any time of year. This grey corduroy jacket, layered over a denim mini skirt and a vintage t-shirt, adds a bit of casual-cool slouch without being too in-your-face about the ’90s texture taking over your IG feed.
Top 'n' Bottom

The Mini + '90s Jacket
There are tons of ways to style a corduroy mini skirt, but we love to offset proportions by pairing one with the loud and voluminous qualities of one of our vintage ’90s jackets. Add a pair of sneakers and a bit of sass and voilá!
A Play on Proper
There’s nothing quite like taking a piece known throughout time for its formal qualities, e.g. a blazer, and transforming it through various means into something that can be worn on an everyday basis. Here, one of our vintage corduroy blazers (similar found here, here, here, and here) is anything but your lawyer’s suit jacket, and layered over a vintage tee, even a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.
Corduroy X Camo
With camouflage having a moment, combine two trends and pair your woodsy print with a pair of corduroy pants. The mix of pattern and print is equally cool and utilitarian (corduroy is known to be extremely durable), and with a basic top and combat boots, you’re all set for a Friday night out OR a camping trip.
Double up on the 'Roy

Overalls Forever
Corduroy overalls are one of those statement pieces that everyone needs in their closet. Durable and different from your run-of-the-mill denim overall, we styled this pair with a checkered crop top and blaze orange beanie to give the outfit a bit of edge.
